From the recording She Will Not Lose The Dreamer

SHE WILL NOT LOSE THE DREAMER
Sometimes in life, we can lose almost everything, even our memory of who we are.
We can lose hope. We can lose direction. We can become so wounded by life that the song we once carried within us becomes little more than a distant echo.
But what if, even then, Love has not lost us?
“She Will Not Lose the Dreamer” grew from that realization.
For me, the Holy Mother has become an expression of a Love that does not abandon Her children. When I could no longer find the song, the Song somehow still found me. Beneath the hurt, anger, grief, and years of searching, a tiny thread of light remained, connecting me to something I had known but forgotten.
And eventually, I remembered.
I remembered that I was not separate. I remembered that none of us sings alone. Each of us is one irreplaceable note in an immense symphony of life, our brothers and sisters, humanity, creation, and the Holy joined in one continuing Song.
Perhaps that is the message of this song:
We may forget Love, but Love does not forget us.
We may lose sight of the light, but the light remains.
We may lose the Song, but the Song never loses us.
This is my song of gratitude to Holy Mother, Holy Sophia, Mother Mary, and Mary Magdalene, and to every brother and sister whose love has helped another human being remember their own light.
And especially for anyone walking through darkness today:
She will not lose the dreamer.
She will not lose her child.
Even through the longest night,
Love remembers all the while.
I thought that I had lost the Song.
But the Song had never lost me.
Amen.

Lyrics

SHE WILL NOT LOSE THE DREAMER
[Neo-Folk • Symphonic Rock Americana • Spiritual Ballad]
[Fingerpicked guitar, piano, distant cello]
Verse 1
I wandered through the halls of dreams
When I had lost my way,
Carrying hurt and anger
Through the ruins of yesterday.
But somewhere underneath it all,
Where sorrow could not reach,
A thread of light kept holding me
Beyond what I could see.
Pre-Chorus
When every road had disappeared,
And hope was just an ember,
Something whispered through the dark—
She will not lose the dreamer.
Chorus
Thank You, Holy Mother,
Thank You, Holy Sophia.
When I had forgotten who I was,
You remembered who I am.
You held me like the softest breeze,
You raised me like a mighty oak,
Found the flame beneath the ash
And my heart remembered to sing the song.
She will not lose the dreamer,
She will not lose her child.
Even through the longest night,
Love remembers all the while.
Verse 2
There were years the song grew distant,
Just an echo through the pain,
Like an old hymn from another life
I couldn't quite explain.
When I thought that I was drowning
In the waters of this life,
My Holy Mother came reaching
Through the darkness for my light.
Not with thunder, not with judgment,
Not demanding I remember,
Just a Love as soft as breathing—
She will not lose the dreamer.
Chorus
Thank You, Holy Mother,
Thank You, Holy Sophia.
When I had forgotten who I was,
You remembered who I am;
held me like the gentlest wind,
and raised me again,
Found the flame beneath the ash
And taught my heart to sing at last.
Verse 3
Then the walls of separation
Started falling from my eyes,
And I heard the ancient music
Still resounding through the skies.
One great Life was always singing
Through the endless, shining vast,
Every brother, every sister,
Every soul a note that matters.
And I knew I wasn't separate.
I had never sung alone.
I was one note in the symphony,
And every note was home.
[Strings and electric guitar rise]
Bridge
we are not forgotten.
Love forgets no one.
underneath our woundedness
The ancient song goes on.
If you're walking through the darkness,
If your flame is burning low,
Listen underneath the silence—
There is something you still know.
She will not lose the dreamer.
Final Chorus
Thank You, Holy Mother!
Thank You for the lifeline
That never let me go.
Thank You for the Love that found me
When I'd forgotten home.
Now I sing among my brothers.
Now I sing among my sisters.
Every heart a living instrument,
Every life a sacred note.
Let the wounded join the chorus.
Let the forgotten be remembered.
Let the lonely hear the music.
Let every hidden ember glow.
[Full orchestra and choir]
She will not lose the dreamer!
She will not lose a soul!
Love was singing through the darkness!
Love was singing all along!
We are many notes together.
We are one great living song.
Through the joy and through the sorrow,
Still the music carries on.
[Music falls to piano and distant choir]
Thank You, Holy Mother.
Thank You, Holy Sophia.
I thought I had lost the Song.
But the Song
had never
lost me.
Amen.
