SHE WILL NOT LOSE THE DREAMER Sometimes in life, we can lose almost everything, even our memory of who we are. We can lose hope. We can lose direction. We can become so wounded by life that the song we once carried within us becomes little more than a distant echo. But what if, even then, Love has not lost us? “She Will Not Lose the Dreamer” grew from that realization. For me, the Holy Mother has become an expression of a Love that does not abandon Her children. When I could no longer find the song, the Song somehow still found me. Beneath the hurt, anger, grief, and years of searching, a tiny thread of light remained, connecting me to something I had known but forgotten. And eventually, I remembered. I remembered that I was not separate. I remembered that none of us sings alone. Each of us is one irreplaceable note in an immense symphony of life, our brothers and sisters, humanity, creation, and the Holy joined in one continuing Song. Perhaps that is the message of this song: We may forget Love, but Love does not forget us. We may lose sight of the light, but the light remains. We may lose the Song, but the Song never loses us. This is my song of gratitude to Holy Mother, Holy Sophia, Mother Mary, and Mary Magdalene, and to every brother and sister whose love has helped another human being remember their own light. And especially for anyone walking through darkness today: She will not lose the dreamer. She will not lose her child. Even through the longest night, Love remembers all the while. I thought that I had lost the Song. But the Song had never lost me. Amen.
