The Great Gathering
Neo-Folk • Symphonic Rock • Spiritual Anthem
Written by E. Craig Hendricks
There are moments in life when love arrives so unexpectedly that it leaves us speechless.
During one of our recent morning meditations with Mary's Spirit Walkers, I felt guided to return to a meditation we had not shared in a long time, The Guided Journey to the Heart Space. As each person entered the quiet sanctuary of their own heart to meet with Spirit, I entered mine as well.
When I opened the door, Mother Mary was waiting.
She spoke of hope. She spoke of perseverance. She reminded us that every person is a beloved child, worthy of compassion, healing, and remembrance. She invited us to keep sharing our hearts, our music, our prayers, and our love, one soul at a time. As I shared her message with the group, I was overcome with emotion. Tears flowed freely as I experienced a love so immense that words became difficult to speak.
The Great Gathering was born from that encounter.
This song celebrates a vision of humanity returning to its deepest truth: that we are one family, held together by a Love greater than fear, division, or separation. It is an anthem for healers, peacemakers, contemplatives, musicians, caregivers, and every soul quietly serving the world through kindness. It reminds us that no act of compassion is ever wasted, no heart is ever forgotten, and no journey is without purpose.
Musically, The Great Gathering blends the intimacy of Neo-Folk with the sweeping power of Symphonic Rock, growing from a solitary acoustic guitar into a soaring orchestral celebration of hope, unity, and remembrance. It is meant to be sung with full voice and an open heart, a hymn for those who believe that love is the greatest force for healing our world.
May this song remind you that you are never walking alone.
May it strengthen your heart to keep serving, keep loving, and keep sharing your light.
Welcome to The Great Gathering.
With gratitude and love,
E. Craig Hendricks

Lyrics
THE GREAT GATHERING
(Neo-Folk • Symphonic Rock • Spiritual Anthem)
(A lone fingerpicked acoustic guitar opens beneath distant bells. A warm cello joins, followed by swelling strings. Deep toms begin a steady heartbeat rhythm. By the final chorus, full orchestra, electric guitars, choir, and soaring harmonies lift the song into a triumphant celebration.)
[Verse 1]
Keep pushing through the morning,
Keep striving through the night.
Keep sharing every blessing,
Keep carrying the Light.
Hold every weary traveler
Within your faithful heart,
For every soul you welcome
Has never been apart.
[Pre-Chorus]
As you hold them close,
They are held by Me.
Love becomes the bridge
Across eternity.
[Chorus]
We are the Army of Love,
No one walks alone.
Every heart remembered,
Every child brought home.
Your hands carry hope,
My hands carry grace.
Together we are building
A world love will embrace.
We are the Army of Love,
One family beneath the skies.
One song forever rising,
Love never says goodbye.
[Verse 2]
These are all My children,
Your sisters and your brothers too.
In a world that often forgets them,
Remember what is true.
See the hidden innocence
Behind each wounded face.
One by one we'll gather them
Within Love's warm embrace.
[Pre-Chorus]
You were born to change
What fear could never heal.
One heart at a time,
Making Heaven real.
[Chorus]
We are the Army of Love,
No one walks alone.
Every heart remembered,
Every child brought home.
Your hands carry hope,
My hands carry grace.
Together we are building
A world love will embrace.
We are the Army of Love,
One family beneath the skies.
One song forever rising,
Love never says goodbye.
[Bridge]
Your hands will do the labor,
My hands the work of Love.
Our hearts shall beat together
With every star above.
Your music lights the pathway.
Your meditations heal.
Every song your spirit offers
Makes forgotten hearts remember.
Across the fields we're working,
Countless souls unseen.
Every voice awakening
The world that yet shall be.
[Instrumental Break]
(Acoustic guitar weaves through soaring violins. Electric guitar answers with lyrical melodies while the choir softly repeats: "Love... Love... Love..." before the drums drive the final ascent.)
[Final Chorus]
We are the Army of Love,
There are no strangers here.
Every soul is guided.
Every heart held near.
The harvest has begun.
The family gathers home.
Every road leads onward
To the Love we've always known.
We are the Army of Love,
No journey is in vain.
Some are long and winding,
Some through joy and pain.
Still every child is welcomed,
Every tear redeemed.
Held forever safely
Inside the Holy Dream.
[Outro]
Keep pushing...
Keep striving...
Keep sharing...
Hold them close...
Hold them close...
For I am always with you.
Tell them once again.
Thank you for your kindness.
Thank you for your song.
Thank you for your faithful hearts
That carried Mine along.
I am with you always.
I love you.
Mother Mary
