From the recording The Song of Providence
“Providence” is a soul-stirring journey of spiritual awakening, divine invitation, and the courage to walk in alignment with Love’s greater plan. Told through poetic lyricism and a rising rhythm of reflection, the song traces the steps of a seeker—first called by the whisper of Spirit, then tested by shadow, and finally transformed by remembrance of their sacred name.
Blending the vulnerability of neo-folk with the uplifting swell of symphonic country, “Providence” speaks to the quiet moments when we feel Spirit move… and to the choices we make when we listen. With each breath, each step, it reminds us: we are not lost—we are becoming.
For anyone navigating doubt, searching for meaning, or standing at a crossroads of the heart, this song is a companion… a gentle light on the path home.
Lyrics
The Song of Providence
Walking down a wandering path
hush of morning along the way.
The voice in the stillness, the light of the day—
Whispered truths that wouldn’t fade away.
Providence sang in wind’s low hum,
A sacred reminder: “Time has come.”
My soul stood still and felt it move—
The breath of Spirit, ancient and true.
"Would you walk with me in Love’s great plan?"
Asked the Light through this heart of mine.
"Would you grow through joy or rise through pain,
make your choice to always gain.
The road was long, and shadows grew near,
Lessons cloaked in laughter and fear.
Challenges rose with the morning sun,
My soul questioned where I had begun.
Tempted to turn, to walk away,
The song of Love asked me to stay.
"Would you give your life to Love’s sweet cause?
To forgive the world, without a pause?"
Providence echoed through breath and time—
"You are the rhythm. You are the rhyme."
I looked up, my path lit and sweet.
Each step forward, blessings meet my feet—
As Spirit and I began to seek.
But storms still came and faith was tried,
Fear and doubt walked close beside.
Still a whisper rose, soft and true—
"You are becoming what’s always been you."
Not lost… just rising, not broken—bright and true.
Then came the rising—the holy flame.
As I remembered my sacred name.
Miracles danced at my fingertips,
Blessings poured from Spirit’s lips.
My song in perfect union,
All along.
No more shame, no more disguise—
I walked this world with opened eyes.
A spark of Love, by grand design.
