Hi everyone,
I want to share something special with you — a contemplative meditation poem that celebrates the beauty, mystery, and love woven into our creation.
Over the last few days I’ve had several deeply meaningful sessions — first with the Bengston Northwest Group, then with Mary Magdalene’s Spirit Walkers, and this morning in meditation with Jennifer Rose. A theme kept surfacing: our relationship with the body and the real challenges we face in living within it.
We all know how difficult that can feel at times — even overwhelming. Yet our bodies are not separate from our spiritual life; they are expressions of it. They are living reflections of the soul, carrying our stories, our resilience, and our light. Even with their struggles, our bodies are extraordinary creations — gifts through which spirit becomes visible, tangible, and alive.
At the heart of this is a simple truth: our source is love. Love gives rise to love. From that creative impulse, everything unfolds — the universe, our lives, and our very capacity to experience beauty and connection. We are participants in that unfolding, expressions of the same love that brought us into being.
Last night we reflected on Walt Whitman’s poem Leaves of Grass, especially the section I Sing the Body Electric. Whitman wrote with a rare reverence for the human body, seeing it not merely as flesh and form, but as a gateway to the soul and a testament to the sacredness of embodied life. His words remind us that honoring the body is another way of honoring creation itself.
I’ve recorded the poem for you and paired it with a gentle 528 Hz Solfeggio tone and theta binaural textures to support reflection and relaxation. I hope it serves as a small offering — a reminder that we are here to live fully: to read, listen, move, create, strive, and sing. Simply because we can.
Whatever challenges arise, we do not walk alone. When we move in step with spirit, we discover a resilience and compassion that carry us forward. This journey is a shared co-creation — an adventure in learning to meet life with love and light.
I hope you enjoy this meditation and receive it in the spirit it’s offered.
With warmth and gratitude,
